Church in Corinth had it problems.

opzioni binarie la martingala funziona This is a sample list of issues the Apostle Paul was pointing out to the believers in Corinth. These are just some of the problems that pop up in a church when love is not being practiced as a primary objective. These issues are the same faced by churches today.

I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.

You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men?

18 Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you.   19 But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have.  20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.  21 What do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a whip, or in love and with a gentle spirit?

1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father’s wife.  2 And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have been filled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this?

6 But instead, one brother goes to law against another– and this in front of unbelievers!  7 The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?   8 Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers.

2 But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.  3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.   4 The wife’s body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband’s body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife.   5 Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

1Corinthians  8:1-2
1 Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. 2 The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know.

1Corinthians  8:9-12
9 Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak.  10 For if anyone with a weak conscience sees you who have this knowledge eating in an idol’s temple, won’t he be emboldened to eat what has been sacrificed to idols?   11 So this weak brother, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge.  12 When you sin against your brothers in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.

1Corinthians  10:22-24
22 Are we trying to arouse the Lord’s jealousy? Are we stronger than he?   23 “Everything is permissible”– but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible”– but not everything is constructive.   24 Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.

1Corinthians  11:17-18, 22
17 In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good.  18 In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it.

22 Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? Certainly not!

1Corinthians 11:20-22
20 When you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat,   21 for as you eat, each of you goes ahead without waiting for anybody else. One remains hungry, another gets drunk.   22 Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? Certainly not!
