Now that school is over and summer have officially begun, here’s something JJ wrote this year. It’s an adaptation of the 23rd Psalm; and I think it may have been created originally for a Wave class project.
The Lord is my Teacher, I shall not be stupid.
He makes me sit down at a desk;
He leads me through the lesson.
He restores my memory;
He leads me in the path of knowledge for His good name.
Though I walk through the halls of stupid,
I will fear no dumbness for He’s in the hall;
His ruler and textbook comfort me.
You prepare a lesson in the presence of my enemies.
You annoint my brain with knowledge;
My brain overflows.
Surely smarts and brains shall follow me through college.
And I will always be in the Lord’s presence.
And the learning continues…
