Waterbrook Bible Fellowship is blessed to have such amazing Bible teachers. (Blog author excluded.) Everyone knows that fact. What you may not know is we also have some well-respected Israel tour leaders among our teaching staff!

This month, March 2012, our Teaching Pastor Stephen Bramer and Thru the Word class teacher Charles Savelle are in Israel serving as teachers with an Insight for Living tour. Both men are joined by their wives, Sharon Bramer and Kathy Savelle, who assist serving as bus hostesses with the tour groups.

I greatly respect Stephen’s expertise on the Holy Land. He’s been on many, many trips to Israel and helped lead previous trips for IFL and Dallas Theological Seminary. Stephen has also done several tours for private groups. Stephen loves to spend time in Israel before and after tour groups arrive to explore new areas not often found on typical tours. Stephen’s private tour groups get to visit those non-touristy areas, especially when the participants are on return visits to the Holy Land. Stephen is my “go to guy” when I need pictures for sermon illustrations or simply need a question answered that puts a biblical story in the correct historical or geographical context. (Did I mentioned how blessed we are to have him on staff at Waterbrook Bible Fellowship?)

Charles is very thorough on his knowledge of…well, anything he knows. He’s a great student himself who always seeks to gather all the facts and details he can. I know he’s a repeat visitor to the Holy Land. I believe this is at least his second trip helping teach on an IFL Israel Tour. He’s also led or helped lead private group tours.

You can follow some of the current trip happenings at Stephen’s personal blog. This includes the fact he had a criminal run-in with the local authorities, date time with Sharon, and biblical ntoes on the places he’s visited. Here’s the link to his blog. > http://www.bramersblog.blogspot.com/. You can also see some daily video recaps of ths current IFL trip at this webpage. > http://www.insight.org/ministry/events/video-blog/2012-israel-tour/

By the way, if you’re interested in your own trip to the Holy Land, I believe spots are still available on a trip Pastor Stephen Bramer will be leading at the end of 2012. It would be an excellent way to begin 2013 – with a personalized tour of Israel. Contact Stephen for more information. Trip details are included in the ad at the end of this blog post.

Now, here’s your fun for the day – find Stephen, Sharon, Charles and Kathy! Here are a few screenshots from the first few IFL video blog posts. Can you find our Waterbrook folks?  Ok, most are pretty easy.

Ok, we're starting easy. Stephen on a boat in the Sea of Galilee

I see Sharon from this picture of the first day of the IFL trip when Bus leaders are introduced to tour participants.

A little tougher. Can you find Charles & Kathy? Hint: They're hosting on bus #10.

Now, if you want to know more you’ll have to go watch the videos for yourself at the IFH video blog link.

Here’s the details on that upcoming Israel trip…
